Councillors Lawrence Williams and Jane Kelly have taken up the concerns of their constituents about legal highs sold in Boscombe to vulnerable people.
Councillor Williams responded to concerns of a resident who had reported that a local Boscombe shop was selling legal highs as plant food. Councillor Jane Kelly, in whose ward the shop is located, has also become involved. Bournemouth Trading Standards has informed the Councillors that as they are legal highs there is little that they can do, and recommended that the only viable way forward is to take the matter up with the Member of Parliament Tobias Ellwood to take up in the House of Commons. This has now been done and Tobias is activity pursuing this case on behalf of his constituent.
