BECA Facebook goes live!

Dorset councils to be merged into two authorities

We are delighted to see that a decision has been made by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government Sajid Javid MP, to merge the Local Governments within Dorset.

Last week, I wrote to the Chairman of Bournemouth East Conservative Association to seek re-nomination as their Conservative Candidate for Bournemouth East in the General Election on June 8th.

Dinner with Lord Dobbs

BECA and Tobias Ellwood MP were delighted to host the charming Lord Dobbs, author of House of Cards amongst other bestsellers, at a local Bournemouth event on the 4th November. A charismatic speaker with plenty of entertaining anecdotes to tell!

Transport Minister to visit Pokesdown Station

The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport, Claire  Perry MP will be visiting Pokesdown on 5 December to see if a solution to disabled access can be found.

Borthwick Solves Problem

Earlier this year Councillor Derek Borthwick working along side local residents, was able to stop the cutting up of large and heavy tree trucks which had been taken down throughout the Borough being transported to Muscliff.  

Beach Clean Up

After the horrendous storms Conservative councillors and prospective candidates meet at Boscombe with MP Tobias Ellwood to give a hand in the clean up.
