Boscombe pier has changed little in the last 50 years. Tobias Ellwood, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Bournemouth East, is calling on Bournemouth Council to remove the building at the end of the pier immediately.

Residents and visitors love Boscombe pier, but a walk to the end would be vastly improved if there were a view. The Lib Dem Council are selling Honeycombe Chine car park for £8 million but have put forward no costings as to how this money could be spent to improve the area.

People are beginning to worry that the Lib Dems will redirect this money outside of Boscombe. Quotations from two Bournemouth demolition companies show that removing the end building would cost around £40,000 and the work could be completed in a month. This would be a simple start to improving the sea front with Boscombe's money.
