Bournemouth
is the most popular seaside resort in the country and tourism is
vital for our local economy.
However, with the increasing number of cheap international flights
available, we are now competing with many other tourist destinations
across Europe. We therefore must stay competative and that means
regualarly investing in what we offer.
Bournemouth is known for its family atmosphere, a pleasant place
to live and a growing centre of finance. It is also known for its
vibrant nightlife. Keeping all these attractions in balance is fundimental
if we are not to alter the character of our town.
A combination
of the introduction of 24 hour drink laws and very British desease
of 'binge drinking' is affecting levels of drink related violence
in town centres across the country. Bournemouth is no exception.
