Over-development
- Lib Dem Council fails to stand up to planning appeals
All of Bournemouth is now concerned about the scale of over-development.
So residents in Moordown had reason to celebrate when an application
on Greshem Road to turn a family house into 12 flats was refused
in the Town Hall. However, when the developers appealed against
the decision the Town Hall then spoke in FAVOUR of the application!
If we are to fight over-dvelopment we need a council with a little
more back bone. It's time for a change.
Mobile Phone
Masts
The Lib Dem Council's Roll out of the third generation mobile phone
masts has been nothing short of appauling. Announcements about possible
sights to be used by the operators have either been none exsistant
or delayed. The Fiasco over the Holly Tree Pub mast could have been
avoided if there was better communication between the Council and
residents. Instead it took the formation of a local residents group
to eventually move a mast which was placed 4 metres from a baby's
bedroom.
